the It is an important and exciting beginning of the children’s school journey.

The first half term is about getting to know our new learners, forming positive relationships and find out what their interests are. They will be getting to know the school rules and routines and knowing what is expected of them. Our curriculum is delivered through a mixture of learning through play, small group adult led activities and whole group learning. We will develop children’s early language and we have daily whole group learning based on our focussed literacy or mathematics topic at the beginning of each Nursery session. We also support the children with developing their knowledge and understanding of the world, arts and design, fine motor skills, health and self-care skills, personal, social and emotional development.

PE is on Mondays, so our learners will need to come in wearing appropriate clothes on this day. Reading books are also changed on Mondays, so please be sure to bring these to school too.
